Nose Job (Nose Augmentation) with Aquamid Filler

Aquamid Reconstruction
Patient Information
Gender:
Female
Procedure Notes
Pre-Operative:

The patient wanted more shape and contouring to their nose bridge, but did not want to have a surgical rhinoplasty with silicone implant. The patient had used a temporary, dermal filler for nose augmentation before, a hyaluronic acid was used. The hyaluronic acid had been reabsorbed, the patient wanted to use a long lasting filler.

Post-Operative:

One syringe of Aquamid Reconstruction was injected along the nose bridge, the Aquamid was injected in a manner to allow the nose to have a shape and contour the patient felt would provide their ideal look and match the 'lines' of their face.

Description:

The total amount of time for the Aquamid injection was approximately 20 minutes, one syringe (1 ml) was injected along the bridge of the nose to add definition, shape and profile to the nose. Lidocaine was injected before the Aquamid, there was very minimal swelling and no bruising immediately after the filler was injected.

Procedure Performed:
Increase Nose Projection and Profile with Aquamid Filler
Product Used:
Aquamid Reconstruction
Patient Information
Gender:
Female
Procedure Notes
Pre-Operative:

Patient unhappy with the profile and projection of their nose, namely at the top of the nose bridge as the patient did not feel there was definition of the nose between her eyes.

Post-Operative:

The profile of the nose was increased to add projection and volume while maintaining a natural look- the nose bridge was augmented by injecting Aquamid with the primary injection site at the top of the nose bridge. The patient was very pleased with the result of the injection, the after pictures were taken 2 days after the injection.

Description:

1 syringe of Aquamid Reconstruction was injected along the bridge of the nose to increase the profile of the nose, the majority of the Aquamid filler was injected at the top of the nose bridge. A helpful method of meaning the before and after result is to view the projection of the nose compared with the patients eyelashes, the amount of projection added with the injection can be very easily seen when using the eyelashes as the point of reference in the before and after.

Procedure Notes
Pre-Operative:

The patient had previous had a closed surgical rhinoplasty (nose augmentation) with a silicone implant being inserted into the nose. The silicone implant was not a success as the implant was not secure on the upper portion of the nose bride (between the eyes); the implant 'floated'. The implant was removed 6 months before Aquamid was injected.

Post-Operative:

The after picture was taken immediately after the Aquamid Reconstruction filler was injected, the result was evaluated as 'excellent' by the patient as the Aquamid added shape and profile to the nose bridge area. There was significant scar tissue found during the injection, the scar tissue was the result of the prior implantation and removal of the silicone nasal implant.

Description:

Just under 1ml (1 pre-filled Aquamid Reconstruction syringe) was injected, the injection was completed in just under 30 minutes.
